Everything we get asked about Listfit, Mailchimp list hygiene, and how scoring and archiving work. Something not covered here? Visit support or email us directly.

No. Listfit archives contacts in Mailchimp — it is a soft archive, not a hard delete. Mailchimp retains archived contacts and you can restore them at any time from your Mailchimp account. Listfit never permanently removes a contact on your behalf.
You paste your Mailchimp API key into Listfit. The key is used to read your list engagement data for scoring, and to perform targeted archive operations when you confirm them. Your key is encrypted and never stored in plaintext. You can disconnect at any time from your account settings.
The free plan runs a full scan, scores every contact, and shows you the Keep / Borderline / Prune breakdown plus the exact tier-boundary savings estimate — how many contacts to archive and how much you save per month. You see the full picture before paying. The archive action itself requires the Standard plan at $29/mo flat.
Each contact is scored on engagement signals from your Mailchimp data: open rate, click rate, and recency of last engagement. Contacts with consistently low or zero engagement across all signals land in the Prune band. Contacts with some engagement land in Borderline. Active contacts land in Keep.
Yes. In the archive queue, you can toggle the option to include borderline contacts alongside prune-band contacts. When you do, Listfit re-previews the full candidate set. Borderline contacts have some recent engagement — archive them with caution.
No. Standard is a flat $29/month regardless of how many contacts you have or how many you archive. Mailchimp charges you by contact count — Listfit charges you a flat fee to help lower that count. There are no per-contact or usage-based charges on the Listfit side.
Cancel any time. No cancellation fees. Your Mailchimp connection is removed, your scan data is deleted within 30 days, and you remain on the free plan indefinitely with read-only scorecard access. Anything already archived in Mailchimp stays in its archived state — Listfit's cancellation does not restore or re-add contacts.
The savings estimate is calculated from Mailchimp's published pricing tiers and your current contact count. It shows how many contacts to archive to cross the next tier boundary and the estimated monthly saving. Actual savings depend on Mailchimp's pricing at your next billing cycle — treat the estimate as a reliable guide, not a guaranteed amount. See the Terms of Service for the full disclaimer.
You choose your region at account creation: EU-Central (Frankfurt) or US-East (Virginia). Scan data stays in that region and does not replicate across regions. Tenant isolation ensures your data is never mixed with another customer's. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
The Free plan is $0/month and includes full per-contact scoring, the Keep / Borderline / Prune band breakdown, and the tier-boundary savings estimate. Standard is $29/month flat and adds the one-click archive queue, borderline contact inclusion, and real-time job tracking. No contact-count pricing, no usage-based charges. See the full breakdown on the pricing section.
